NOTE: If some of these seem too far fetched, you are welcomed to tell me. I will gladly change it or just take the event off the timeline completely. After all, we want to be as canon as we possibly can.

ALSO: If you wish to add your character's interaction with Tenten's timeline feel free to contact me and I'll gladly discuss connections with you. ^^

Tenten's Timeline )
This is for my convenience, and maybe yours if you ever wanna see what she's been up to lately. Plus it's an easy way to make sure I'm not RPing Tenten in two places at once. :P

The Character
Character’s Name: Tenten
Character’s Journal: [livejournal.com profile] kunoichi_dragon
Character’s Canon: Naruto (Shippuuden)
Character’s Age: 18
Canon Point: After the start of the Fourth Shinobi War
Personal Effects: Clothes (current and spare), Scrolls (full of weapons and necessities, mind you), Food Rations, Tarot Cards (she keeps them with her at all times), weapon polish, maps (that will be useless now), sleeping bag, and a pack to carry them all in
History:
Personality: Originating from a middle-class background, Tenten knows the meaning of hard work and dedication. These principles she puts into every aspect of her life despite constantly being underestimated by her opponents. However, she has learned to utilize that to her advantage, often times using it to help her deceive and overwhelm her adversaries. Often overlooked by others but always a presence, whether in the lives of all those around her or just in general, she serves as a maternal figure and puts forth an even mix of determination, confidence, and respect to all those around her (when she receives the same in return) with an ever mellow attitude. She provides a quiet comfort to anyone she comes across. But only those who prove worthy of her trust are privileged to such kind treatment.

To enemies, strangers, and all those who would seek to oppose those that she chooses to align herself with, Tenten is relentless and unforgiving, cool and calculative with an aggressive drive that could match or surpass any she comes across. Knowledgeable in the fighting arts, she has the use of a wide array of weapons at her disposal, coupled with amazingly perfected accuracy that can be attributed to her promising advances in math. Until a person gains her trust, she appears to be constantly defensive and suspicious, all of which are the lingering effects from years of being a witness to the hard and traitorous life in the yakuza/mafia, though she appears to have a soft spot for mistreated women and lost souls. Tenten is not exactly anti-social, but she has a tendency to blend into the background, which in turn actually aids in her observational skills.

At first glance she does not seem the type to willing join such a profession, something that becomes more prominent as one gets to know her on a more personal level. Tenten values honor and respect above all else and will not hesitate to fight for it. While mostly reserved (blending into the background), she is certainly one of the more aggressive kind of girls, which more than likely keeps her stuck under the label of tomboy. More of a jeans and tee kind of girl, Tenten is always ready to get down and dirty with the guys. But that’s not to say that she doesn’t have the capacity to be feminine as well when the mood strikes her. A typical average girl in a typical modern world, her only noticeable flaw would be the lack of confidence concerning her love life. Not one to go searching for a relationship, she is at a loss when one comes looking for her. And as comfortable as she is with the boys, it’s a whole different story when faced with one she actually likes in that way
Appearance: In every sense of the word, Tenten is what most people would call typical. Dark hair, dark eyes, medium height and an all too average frame for a young woman her age, although her muscles are notably more toned and conditioned from the extensive training and development that comes with being one of the more active kunoichi of Konoha. She stands at a good five foot five/ five foot six inches give or take a few centimeters or so, and weighs roughly somewhere between one hundred ten and one hundred twenty-five pounds depending on how well she's been able to maintain her muscle mass now that her team is no longer around to push and drive her to her limits. Typically average girl in a not so typically average world.

Her clothes, much like her general appearance, seem to be greatly influenced by Chinese culture. Most notably, her hair. More often than not, you would find it pulled up and out of the way, bound into two tight buns set on the crown of her head. But that's not to say that they are a permanent fixture. Only a convenience in the midst of battle. She has no time to worry about things like appearances when she's taking down an entire army, and hair tends to get in the way of pulling sharp blades and unraveling long scrolls of artillery. Her clothes are loose and flowing, allowing maneuverability necessary to accomplish the amazing aerobatics and sky battles she tends to implore during her fights as well as facilitate her occasional need to hide weaponry on her persons.
Abilities: Assigned to a squad led by Maito Gai when she became a Genin, there is no doubt that she is knowledgeable and skilled in the art of taijutsu and hand-to-hand combat. It is also assumed that, while she is the slowest of her team, she is still fairly quick and fights at a fast pace from years of sparring and training with her teammates (some of the fastest shinobi in the entire village). But her specialty and what she is best known for is her skill and extensive knowledge on the use of a wide range of weapons both metal and wood based. In fact, most of her attacks call on her to use of these various tools all at once and in rapid succession. This, often times, involves the use of chakra strings as well, which allow her to call back and sometimes redirect her weapons with a simple tug of her fingers and a little flux in her chakra control. She is also capable of using earth and fire based techniques.

Needless to say, you don't wanna get on this girl's bad side.

Upon arriving, she'll find that her stamina in reference to her chakra reserves has been heightened somewhat from normal, giving her a extended time in which she can utilize the source during battle, though it lengthens recovery time to to hours instead of minutes/ days instead of hours, depending on how much was expelled in a short amount of time and the damage that she took in during the fight.

Samples (These... will involve personal AU!headcanon, but her personality's still in there. I hope that's ok)
First Person Sample: The time is drawing near.

It's taken us months of preparation and endless planning; pages and pages of secrets, and an extreme attention to details that were key to making this raid successful. All the while, we had to both put up a convincing front, relying on our duties and busy schedules to keep anyone from suspecting the truth; from discovering our plan to come face to face with the man who had threatened us with the destruction of the village and our lives with one of our own. And after all the secret meetings and private discussions -- weeks of paranoia -- redemption seems finally in our grasps.

I can practically taste the retribution.
Third Person Sample: Halfway back to her room, she could already tell that they had overdone it with the serum. Then again, there wasn't much else she could expect from being used as a human guinea pig. But Kabuto was usually good and extremely careful at guessing the right dosage for her height and weight, especially with the experimental drugs that he was developing. Or maybe this was simply a form of retribution for being so unmovingly effected by his more gruesom experiments. It was no secret that the 'good doctor' would find some level of pleasure and satisfaction in the discomfort of others. But given the severity and range of damage that Tenten's techniques tended to generate, she had already seen her fair share of the world's worst of cruelties. The kunoichi would be hard pressed to let it unnerve her now, this far into the game.

But whatever the reason, she was left to deal with the aftermath all the same, stumbling through the corridors with as much coordination and effort that was left after the haze and distortion settled in. And that was when she came across a rather unsavory group of Sound-nin.

Sharp and calloused knuckles cracked into her cheek, throwing the kunoichi off-balanced enough that she crumpled to the ground with hardly a fight. Then again, it was difficult enough to stand with how the earth seemed to spin and shift in her vision. Even as she laid sprawled out on the ground, there was nothing but the feeling of vertigo and the distinct throb of her bruising cheek to bring Tenten comfort. All the while, they continued to tease and taunt -- to show Orochimaru's precious Konoha kunoichi just what they really thought of her -- never relenting against their adversary. Just like they had been taught to be, she supposed.

A rather harsh kick to her stomach snapped Tenten's mind instantly back to the reality of the situation. But despite all the pain and disorientation she was feeling, the kunoichi refused to give them the satisfaction. So it was with every ounce of strength she could pull and muster from her weakening body that the young woman made to stand, teething clenching against the biting cries of protest her body gave. Muffled voices called out in reaction, droning in a deadened sort of warble that she had no hope of understanding. One thing was clear, though. They wouldn't stand by and simply let her go so easily.

But she wasn't so completely helpless either.

Sound. I'm in the Sound Village.

Don't ask how that happened, I'm not exactly sure of it myself. My memory of that night is still a bit fuzzy -- half of me blames it on the medication Kabuto gave me that day -- and all I can draw out are flashes of images. A glint of a kunai, a fleeting shadow, the inscriptions in my scroll I'm still wondering what they did with my scroll and if I'll ever see it again. More than likely not if they really are intent on keeping me.

I can't even recall how long I've been here. The days pretty much come and go around like nothing. Seconds become days, minutes and hours become weeks and months maybe, especially since Kabuto's made it a point to find out exactly where my limitations are. He keeps pushing harder and harder each day to see how long I hold out against the Sound-nins. It's almost enough to rival even Gai-sensei's training regiment, if that's even a possibility.

But what can I say? The man likes his research...too much it would seem.
Have you ever just stopped to think a moment, wonder how others really view you? It's been weeks since I came back from my last escort assignment to the Wind Country. And while I should probably enjoy the rare lull in work, as a kunoichi, the inactivity gets old fairly quickly and I can't help but begin to feel useless in the grand scheme of things concerning the village. So you can imagine my excitement when I found a summons note attached to my living room window this morning.

I've been called to join a unit of shinobi in patrolling the borders of Fire Country. Not exactly what I had in mind to break my training routine, but I'll take it over spending another day sparring with Neji, at least for the moment. A girl can only take a Gentle Fist in the back of the neck so many times before she welcomes something new.

It's been placed on me to search the northern regions for any disturbances. Simple enough. I'll just have to be careful about getting too close to the Rice Field Country borders. In any case, it will be a nice change, though brief. At the very least, it should do well to stay my twitching fingers. I'll see you all when I get back.

Oh, Sakura~ You and I should get together soon. It's been a while and we have some catching up to do. Lunch on me?

Why no, I didn't just realize that I haven't updated this journal for about four months. .__.;

Um...just checking in to let people know that I'm still alive...and that I'm still up for some RPing.

NOTE TO LEE: I'M SO SORRY FOR NEVER WRITING BACK IN OUR LOG, I'VE BEEN REALLY BUSY!!! FORGIVE ME~ DDD:

So the escort mission I was scheduled to lead has been put on hold for now. It seems that the band of merchants and traders have decided to stay a few extra days in Wave Country. Report say that 'the demand for their product made for good income'. I guess the people there really like what they have to sell. I can't really blame them for staying. Everyone has to make a living somehow.

In any case, Neji will be pleased to hear that he'll still have the use of his sparring partner for a little while longer.

Besides, the extra time will give me a chance to finish up my latest project. Takeru's still curious about what I've been working on in the smithy, but he should know better than to expect any answers before I'm actually done. I suppose he'll be happy to hear that I'll still be around to help with the shop should he have need of me.

Plans change and life moves on like it always does. As for Sunagakure...I guess it'll have to wait for now.
I have another escort mission scheduled to set out in about a day or two, this time to Sunagakure. A band of merchants and traders hoping to make some sort of profit in Hidden Sand I'm sure. I told Neji as soon as I found out to give him fair enough warning that he'd be without a sparring partner for a few days and true to his nature, Neji made his comments about the mission being a poor use of my skills. Go figure.

Don't get me wrong, normally I would probably agree with him. Escort missions like these really have no use of a weapon specialist. But I can't help but wonder just what exactly Tsunade-sama is planning here, especially since she gave me an entire week to complete the mission when she knows perfectly well I could finish it in five days.

-Smirks- Tch, I knew there was a reason why I idolized that woman.

I don’t remember exactly what brought me there in the first place, but the other day I found myself walking along the long forgotten paths towards the old training grounds where the team used to meet and practice together everyday. I can't tell you how many years it had been since I stepped foot on the familiar terrain, the grass crunching softly under my feet while the cool breeze caressed my face. I spent a great many years of my young life in that clearing, creating memories I thought I would never remember. But when I spotted the shallow pits made by Neji's Kaiten and the rotting logs that had fallen years before under Lee's swift kicks, it all came flooding back.

If you had told me years ago that this small band of egotistical, hardheaded and stubborn shinobis better known as my team would end up becoming the closest things I'd have to a family, I might have laughed in your face while throwing a few dozen kunais and a handful of shurikens to shred through your chest. Sure we weren't the best of friends back then, I won't pretend that we were. But that didn't take away from what we had: a trust in each other and our skills as a team.

I guess somewhere between then and now, we became more than a shinobi cell...at least they became more than that to me. We were a family. Heh, including all the dysfunctional aspects that comes with the title. We worked as one, a single unit, each playing up our strengths while making up for the other's weaknesses. Together we were perfect. Tch. Sometimes I think we still are. But that's crazy, no one's perfect...right?

-scoffs- I must be going crazy. Lee, I blame you for this. While I understand that duty calls, you've been gone a little too long. Things just aren't the same without your enthusiastic agreements to Gai-sensei's speeches while Neji makes his sardonic comments. But I suppose I can't be selfish about it; I'm not being selfish. I'm just stating how I feel right now. I miss the team, I miss being whole.

But...I guess despite the miles that separate us I still love my boys, I always will. And...I would hope that they still love their 'Blooming Flower' too...
